Will Evie Come Today?

It's 10:28AM now as I am writing this blog. Just had one big painful contraction. While asleep last night, my contractions woke me up. But they were something manageable that I slept through it. I slept on the couch. It was a more comfortable place for me to sleep than on the bed.

I noticed that everytime I shifted position or got up to go to the bathroom, I had a discharge. The color was yellowish. I got up at 5AM and spent a little time checking things online and went back to sleep. I was surprised that the next time I opened my eyes, it was almost 8AM. I should have enough sleep then.

My contractions are really progressing since this morning. We have been monitoring it. They were 5 minutes apart and lasted at the average of 30 to 50 seconds. Sometimes I felt it 3 minutes after the last one, but was very unlikely. I told my husband about the discharge I'm having and the color. He's quite worried about it. He called our OB's emergency number. He got through and we got a return call couple of minutes later. I answered the phone and I had Carol on the other line. I told her about my symptoms. She told me that my yellowish discharges are normal because as my cervix dilates, some amount of mucus come out. She instructed us when to go to the hospital. I asked if there's a big possibility that I will have labor and delivery today with the symptoms I am having. I got a "YES."

We have my OB appointment at 11:20 this morning. We will be going there soon. It's exciting to think that we will see and hold our daughter today. I really hope so.

I just had another contraction.
