At 1 year and 7 months, my daughter has learned to identify and say most of the objects found in the "First Words" and "Happy Baby Words" books. Before she goes bedtime we spend reading books that are suitable for her age. We are currently teaching her basic words with corresponding pictures like fish, banana, shoes, apple, and more. It's funny that she says "quack" for duck and "woof" for dog when she can actually say the words. Don't know the reason behind it. Her memory and verbal skills are superb at her age (I think). She's a fast learner.
