Her Laughter, a Sweet Melody to My Ear

Fi started to learn how to laugh as early as when she was one month old. My husband was the first one to notice it. I couldn't believe it at first, but was in so much surprise when I heard it myself. Her first laughs sounded like she's clearing up her throat. We knew it's a laugh because it's her way of reacting when we're playing with her.

Fi is 3 months old now and her laughs are getting more recognizable compared to her first ones. Besides, it also comes with a big smile on her face and exposure of her cute dimples. Her laughs are sweet melody to my ears. It's a sound that I can listen to, over and over again.

Afternoon Siesta

How melting it is to my heart to watch my Evie and Fi taking a restful siesta together in our bed. I was laying in between them and decided to get up when they both fell asleep. I love Fi's position, both arms are up. She looks so comfy. Evie on the other hand is sleeping on her tummy. She sleeps better in this position, just like her Dada.

I enjoyed watching them in very peaceful sleep, probably dreaming. Makes me wonder what they dream about. Fi might be dreaming of a fun, long, dip in a pool of infant formula. While my Evie could be dreaming being Spiderman fighting against the bad guys. It's amazing to gaze upon their innocence while asleep. One of the simplest, yet, very special sight that brings a mother, JOY.

Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a self-confessed Kmart loyal customer and fan. I buy a lot of stuff in their website and most of the time pick the items I order in our local Kmart store. I tell you, this store has a lot of great deals and promotions that are too irresistible to not avail.

With the season of giving approaching, holiday gifts are a must for every Mom out there. This is the only time of the year where we can splurge to express our gratefulness to every person who receives a gift from us. However, because of the long list of people that we want to give a token of our appreciation with in this upcoming holiday season, our budget hinders us from buying the things we're eyeing for. But thanks to the free layaway that Kmart offers. The impossiblity of getting the things we want makes it quite possible. Compared to other retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Toys R Us, Kmart's layaway program offers the best there is. If you look at the layaway grid below, as a customer, I'd definitely go and avail Kmart's.

I like that Kmart does not require a minimum number of items and amount that I can put on layaway. And for me who enjoys the convenience of buying online, it's always gratfying to know that they give customers like me the online layaway option which other stores do not offer. This is an absolute plus!

There are a bunch of things that I plan to put on layaway. The other day, my daughter asked if I can get her a Dora guitar for Christmas. I immediately checked Kmart.com and see if they have it. I found two, showed it to her,  and this is what she want. Well, I told her that she needs to wait and see if Santa is going to get this present for her.

Speaking of the season of giving, Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway  is currently on. Every week until November 17,  2012,  every local Kmart store holds a layaway giveaway. Any customer can join and get fabulous prizes, with no purchase necessary. For more info about this program you can visit a participating store or checkout  it out online at www.kmart.com/layawaygiveaway. This is one thing I won't pass of course. I want to win great prizes. They're free! :)

My Daughter Loves Spiderman

Who says only boys can wear Spiderman pajamas? Not for my Evie. Of all the superheroes that her Dada introduced to her, Spiderman is her favorite. We don't know her personal reasons except that her favorite color is blue, and Spiderman's costume comes with blue. Well, there are a few superheroes I can name which outfit has blue in it. Superman of course (who happens to be my favorite)! And how about Captain America? To name a few. But of all superheroes with blue in it, Spiderman overrules everyone.
Yesterday, my husband asked if I regret getting the Spiderman pajama yet for Evie. The answer is yes and no. Yes because she got crazy over it. She  refused to take off her PJs. She wouldn't even want to take a shower because she knew that the moment she takes off her outfit, she won't be able to wear it the whole day. I had to convince her that it's dirty and needed to wash it. That very night, she asked to wear it again.

My other answer is no. No because she loves it! ;o) I am a Mom and anything I buy that my daughter loves makes me happy.

Role Play

The time Evie got to know Spiderman, superhero role-playing in our home started. She calls me Hulk (she likes Hulk but not as much as Spidy), calls Fi Baby Hulk, and her Dada Captain America. Whenever she feels like role-playing, we have to pretend and talk according to the superhero she assigned us. Her eyes gleam everytime I call her Spiderman. Just makes her so happy. Every now and then, Spiderman and Hulk say "I love you" to each other, of which in the superhero world, sounds awkward...but not in our house.

Fi is 3 Months Old!

My Fi turns 3 months old today. She's actually not feeling well. She's got a low-grade fever and nose a little stuffy. However, she still got smiles to give me when I took pictures of her. She's very cooperative for most times.

Fi can now lift up herself from laying down to sitting and standing up while I give support to her hands. She also rocks herself whenever she's sitting on our leg. Her gums have been bothering her for days now. She drools a lot and likes it when we massage her lower gum. Not sure if her fever is related with the sore gum. A tooth might come in soon. We'll see!
